Pros

Pays very well, especially since most employees have zero experience in healthcare or project management in general

Cons

Very toxic work culture, they see people as numbers and very replaceable. They expect SME/expert level understanding of an entire application after around 8-9 months there. There's no other field or company where an employee with less than 5 years would be considered an expert in anything lol. I worked there from the start of 2022 to summer of 2023. Not a single person from my department in the hiring class below me is still there apparently. Very restrictive NON-COMPETE. There are hundreds of companies you are forbidden from working with after you leave. Going into it, it seems great and I planned to work at Epic for years until I actually started. Don't let the cool buildings and nice food fool you, please! Many people have to change careers for a bit (I think it's around2 years now) after leaving before you can work with any customer or related healthcare company/competitor. Very difficult if you want to stay in healthcare or health IT. They money is really good, but please avoid the golden handcuffs and find someplace else that will treat you better and actually help you learn.
