      Pros

      Rotating through multiple positions and different parts of the company will give you great experience. You can choose to stay in a single organization and try multiple different types of roles (SWE, Cyber, DevOps, Mobile Apps, etc.), different orgs with the same position, or mix up both!

      Cons

      Hiring and management are encouraging new hires to relocate to Dearborn, even if your role can be done 100% remotely. I was fortunate to be hired over Covid and have been assured I can stay remote; a newcomer may not be as lucky.

      Pros

      Pretty easy job, low stress, good work life balance, nice people. If you just want a place where you can maintain a stable career, with decent pay, and a good work life balance, you could do much worse than Ford.

      Cons

      Terrible leadership decisions. ADAS got wrecked over the past 2 years. Most of the talented engineers that I knew have moved on. Part was intentional attrition via return to office mandates and the rest was just the fact that the talented folks who could easily get new jobs got frustrated enough to leave. If you're interested in deep technical work related to autonomy, robotics, ADAS, etc - Ford is not the place you want to be. All of the interesting work has been moved to Latitude, Ford ADAS is mostly just supplier management now.
