Having worked at GSK for several years, I have experienced a deeply concerning and toxic work environment perpetuated and endorsed at legacy leadership (that have been at the company for decades). The bullying and discriminatory behavior of my manager had a direct impact on my health and well-being.
Bullying was not isolated to my case—multiple colleagues were subjected to the same toxic treatment, creating an atmosphere of fear and anxiety. Many of us felt we couldn’t take sick leave, even when genuinely unwell, because of the retaliation and stigma tied to it. The leadership appeared to turn a blind eye, even when poor scores were given on managers 180 feedback.
This toxic culture is across the recruitment function, orchestrated by the leadership team. The lack of accountability or support for employees suffering under this culture is deeply disheartening. Speak Up is pointless no action is taken.
I would not recommend GSK as an employer, especially if you have a disability or health condition. s
Systemic bullying and discrimination is masked by propaganda and buying awards to sell the company as having inclusive culture which is all a lie. If you value your mental and physical health, proceed with caution.
