Pros

Good training bonus, annual leave

Cons

Beware if you are looking to join sme/ mid-size team! - Incompetent and inexperienced manager parachuted from the UK office who has zero clue about leadership or selling in Asia region. - Senior management also new to the region, does not recognise cultural nuances at all. - Unrealistic sales metrics are set for new hires when even senior team members also cannot hit them. - No guidance/ support from leadership to succeed in the role. - Manager will micro-manage you daily, and tell you to seek others for help. - Manager focuses only on looking good themselves, in front of senior management.

Pros

Relative to other talent competitors, Gartner does a great job in providing opportunities for growth and advancement, with associates who possess the right mindset and drive the right business outcomes advancing more quickly.

Cons

While Gartner is continuing to grow, the pace of growth has temporarily slowed in recent years due to macro-economic factors and the misperception that AI is positioned to replace the business & technology insights that Gartner provides to its clients. It's been great to see the actions being taken this year to combat this perception and further invest in AI solutions internally to empower the organization.

Pros

Good benefits and work from home schedule

Cons

Gartner has lost much of what once made it a great place to work. The culture has become increasingly focused on micromanagement, with excessive oversight and an overwhelming number of metrics driving day-to-day activities. Employees are often measured on quantity rather than quality, creating unnecessary pressure and reducing job satisfaction. What was once an engaging and collaborative environment no longer feels enjoyable. Morale has declined as leadership places more emphasis on tracking performance than supporting employees. Staff are frequently treated as numbers rather than valued contributors, leading to frustration and disengagement. Overall, the company has lost its luster. Unless significant changes are made to improve employee experience, reduce micromanagement, and foster a more supportive culture, it will continue to struggle with retention and employee satisfaction.!
