Pros

They produce good marketing materiel and conduct good market surveys which clients and candidates find very useful and because of that they get a good social media following.

Cons

They are deceitful. Employment lawyers will tell you the employment contract is all in favour of Hays and it in no way looks to protect their employees whilst employed or after. Beware, they will refuse to pay you any commission/incentive owed to you if you leave (even though it states in your contract they will pay it). I know of 4 people they have done this to this year alone. They are bullies who prey on people not knowing their rights or not having the cash to fight to get what is owed through lawyers. I have never seen such high turnover of staff! Main reason people leave is because of the toxic environment the management team encourage. The offices are driven by KPIs and people no matter what your level of experience are micromanaged and made to feel inadequate. Worst company I have ever worked for. Look elsewhere for employment. These guys really are bottom of the pile for employers. You will do much better at another employment agency.

Pros

Great place for new recruiters to gain experience. A lot to learn. Younger crowd, fun teams.

Cons

Competitive, people that weren't succeeding would be put on PIPs and eventually let go. Can be some micro-managing. Not all managers created equal - some great, some not so great.
