Pros
Despite recent changes and downsizing of org. Intel has not lost one of its central values, that of dealing with fairness. Of late. life at Intel has been harder with pay just middle of the industry levels. However, new leadership is getting good success in bringing back the engineering excellence and constructive confrontation culture. Managers have a lot of leeway in rewarding employees differentially than they did before.
Cons
Still a lot of things unclear after a lot of disruption caused due to layoffs and org changes. Leadership taking a long time to spell out how to attract the best talent and retain. Pay review and recalibration is certainly due but management does not appear to be doing much on this front.
