Pros

The opportunity to work around and with animals is great. Depending on the position, the compensaton package the company offers is decent.

Cons

The company is putting to much pressure on store management regarding customer satisfaction(OSAT). The unfair rating scale does not give a score unless the customer feels the service they receive is considered exceptional, anything less is not scored. The company is using this rating in large part during performance evaluations for store management. This makes the job stressful and lowers the morale of the employees, not to mention making an uncomfortable work environment. Every store in the company is expected to run the same way on the same amount of hours whether it is a low volume store or a high volume store which makes it all but impossible to do.

15% off whole store 50% proprietary brands Petting animals Friendly customers Almost never declines requested days off

Cons

Must have min one weekend day available No room for growth very hard to become full time Must make requests a month in advance even thought the schedule come out Thurs/fri for the following week, shifts can be unpredictable Coworkers with seniority have “better” shifts Scrubbing tanks may have you armpit deep They say everyone is equal and gets paid the same but not everyone put in the same effort, ex: some people don’t do pet care at all or never close or never work truck days
