Pros

401k match. Also for those of you who are totally incompetent you can keep your job for at least a year before they can get around to firing you during the next wave of outsourcing.

Cons

Extremely top heavy organization with no vision and constant organizational changes, which create massive amounts of work and frustration. No growth or internal promotion, just consistent cost cutting and outsourcing. Near 100% certainty that your role will be outsourced eventually if you are in the procurement or accounting/finance groups. Company has been brutally mismanaged for years and will be facing the music for the coming years. If you like answering idiotic emails all day and cleaning up never ending messes this is the place for you!

Pros

Philips still has good people, meaningful healthcare technology, and a strong brand name. Many employees care deeply about the customers, the products, and doing quality work.

Cons

The company culture has gone downhill. Management has become increasingly reliant on spreadsheet-driven decision making that often has little connection to real field conditions, employee workload, or customer impact. Priorities and goals change constantly, creating a desperate, reactive environment where employees are not given enough time to adjust before leadership shifts direction again. Morale suffers because teams are expected to execute against moving targets while leadership treats unrealistic planning as an execution problem.
