Pros
Qualcomm is one of the best employers to work for in San Diego. The compensation and benefits are great. Since mobile is a hot area right now, it's an interesting company to work.
Cons
Since it is a large company, one's experience may vary across divisions. I'm working in a division that creates software to support chipset sales. Overall I feel that upper management doesn't invest as many resources as it should to produce world class software. And since there is a low turnover rate, it feels like some people are too comfortable with their jobs, so the passion may not be there.
