Pros

Diversity. Qualcomm is very culturally diverse allowing you to work with people from all of the world. There are many diverse job opportunities depending on your job. Qualcomm goes to great lengths to keep employees excited about working here. During the summer there are Summer on the Lawn events which include free lunch, give aways and employee bands put on concerts. Every Wednesday during the summer there is a farmer's market on the main campus where you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables etc... The recent company picnic was huge, multiple tents to serve food, multiple bands playing music, carnival games etc... The on-site exercise facilities are top notch as well. First class equipment, some free spin and aerobic classes, some pay spin and yoga classes. There are even trainers that come on-site to work with you. There are also shuttles that will take you from building to building within 5 minutes. You get to work with the cream of the crop people. Never have I worked with a more diverse, intelligent group of people than I have at Qualcomm. The ideas that are generated as a result is incredible. Qualcomm has gone the next step to reward innovation by developing an internal venture funding contest that allows people to submit business proposals and have them reviewed by their peers and ultimately, if they are good enough, turned into a fully funded project. There is very much a common thread here that anything is possible.

Cons

The R&D atmosphere of Qualcomm makes it difficult to implement standard process and procedures. You are a small fish in a big ocean. You need to be good at generating the attention you deserve.

Pros

Great benefits, the pay is like okay. Some cool reimbursement programs and health centers on campus

Cons

Career progression and culture varies extremely depending on department. Some parts almost set you up for failure and it's difficult to gain new skills. Lots of qualcomm teams are too scared to explore new technologies and migrate to state of the art services and are comfortable in sticking with old technology for familiarity. Also, HR does nothing if a coworker makes you uncomfortable.
