Pros

Plenty of opportunities to work with cutting edge equipment, lots of vendor support.A supperb place to start one's career as they have procedures to cover every possible item. The journey person to apprentice ratio is out of this world. Students wanting to check out work life as a blue collar worker have an excellent opportunity to try several different trades orriented carreer paths.

Cons

The process of thinking for oneself is quite limited due to excessive procedures, even for the simplest of tasks. One can speak out, it's not supposed to hold you back, yet you might find it some what carreer limiting if you persist on getting answers. Schedules and paperwork are the rule, incomplete of missed paper work means the job was not done.

Opportunities to work on high-impact projects, interact with senior leadership, and contribute to decisions affecting major assets and infrastructure.

Cons

Workloads can be demanding, and priorities can shift quickly based on operational needs. Decision-making processes can be slow due to organizational complexity, and geographic mobility may be necessary for certain career opportunities.
