I very much appreciate this feedback and will respond to a few of your points. But, all of these are worth a discussion if you have time.
As a company, we are very fast paced given our desires to learn quickly and grow. We are very transparent about our pace when people interview, to do our best preparing people for our mode of operation. We move quickly to learn quickly, and then take those learnings to make the company and its employees better.
In regard to parking, that is an expense some employees would benefit from, but many would not. We have tried to focus on benefits that will benefit the most people. With that said, I will definitely look into what it would take to expand our parking options in the future.
Targets are always a lively discussion in sales. We, as a team, are one of the growth engines of TripAdvisor, and our targets reflect that. Further, our accelerators, for those that over perform, are amazing. We want to truly reward those that excel. What I would ask of you, and everyone on the team, before asking to lower targets, is to look for ways to achieve the targets that are given. The company wants us to be successful, and we want the company to be successful. I firmly believe we can come up with new solutions to help us reach our objectives.
One area that we are completely aligned on is that we do have some amazing people. And more amazing people are joining every day. As I have said in other posts, the people are one of the main reasons I have been at TripAdvisor for 6 years. And the EMEA team is awesome!
Please let me know if you would like to discuss further – I am always available.
