Pros
The people, free gym membership, safe environment to progress and grow, quick and supported progression, positive working atmosphere. I started working at VA after a very bad work experience prior where my managers bullied me, and at VA I was supported all the way, which made me exceed my own expectations and really encouraged me to take on more responsibility and made me an ace at what I do. At VA you are free to be yourself and it's a safe environment to progress. Everyone in my club were happy and supportive, I was promoted pretty quickly and allowed to show my talents and bring the best out of me. The people at VA are passionate, hard working and they care about each other.
Cons
The cons have to do with upper management and Head Office. The salary is atrocious unless you're a General Manager. People at Head Office are unhelpful and management there don't care. Company as a whole is going downhill fast with cutbacks after cutbacks. I eventually felt I had to leave as the bonus I was getting each month and dependent upon was made impossible to reach. All the great people from my club also left because they found jobs with better pay. My club was also the best in the whole region so an exception to the rule, I would say my success story isn't shared by a lot of other people working in other clubs and I have also heard some horror stories during my time working there.
