Pros

biggest advantage of working at a big bank like Wells Fargo is the opportunity for advancement. There are a lot of different ways to branch off from your starting position and the money can be good if you become an expert in your field. WF is a stable and profitable company which is a good bank to invest in (stock sharing plan).

Cons

Although you can overcome this disadvantage through working much harder, employees placed in busy areas have a much easier time hitting bonuses and moving up. Also, customer "shops" are graded unfairly. If a customer gives an employee just one 4 out of 5 on any question it is received as a "bad shop." Also, there are a lot of unethical bankers that get away with way too much.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
