Unreliable hours (there was a point where I had less than 20hrs as a FT employee because there was no billable work) You are a pawn... they will work you to death... especially if you do your job well. They'd rather overwork good employees than fire and replace poor ones, so beware if you have any kind of work ethic or integrity at all. I was verbally told "You're a victim to your own success. We want it done right, so we're sending you." Lack of detail and care: They sent me to and from Louisiana and Florida (DRIVING) for months on end after a storm because they accepted a job before they even figured out whether there were hotels for us to stay at. Considering a hurricane had just passed, you can imagine there was nowhere to stay, so we had to drive every day to these sites from Houston, TX - I was sleeping 4hrs a night MAX as I got home at 11pm after work and had to be ON THE ROAD by 3:30am. I developed a life-threatening circulatory issue ON A PROJECT as a result of the driving they were making me to do to stay employed and all they did was cut my hours because I couldn't travel anymore - no one even checked on me after I left the hospital. I just updated them and drove home (yes... they still had me DRIVE home with my health in jeopardy instead of flying me home) ZERO upward mobility - you will most likely never get a raise or promotion. EXTREMELY low pay - degreed or not If you want to be challenged intellectually AT ALL this is not the place for you. All critical thinking was left for the two consultants which they didn't seem to care for ANYONE else to become.
