Pros
One person's Pros can be another's Cons, but no matter what, the Pros at Establish are very certain:
1) It's an extremely relaxed environment. No corporate politics or BS and very laid back and flexible.
2) Good Clients. We are fortunate that the projects we work on are for big and well-known companies as well as smaller companies we're unfamiliar with. Each client is a pleasure to work with and the variety between clients and industries is extremely exciting.
3) Interesting Project Work. No two projects, even if they are the same type, are the same. There are different parameters, and the different projects make for stimulating daily activities.
4) Perfect Amount of Travel. Unlike most consultancies, the travel here is not 80-100%. Rather, it is maybe 1 or 2 weeks a month, max. There is great work-life balance.
5) The Staff. Everyone is extremely nice and gets along well - there is no company infighting or rivalries - we're all in this together. Like a family.
6) Independence. We all have faith in each other to get the work done. There's as much oversight or independence as you want or need. As long as the work gets done timely and perfectly, it can be done how you wish.
7) Laptops. We use any laptops we want! No crappy PCs - I use a brand new MacBook Pro running Windows 10!
8) You See the Work. Everyone at the company, from CEO to just starting yesterday, is able to see the effect their work has on our clients: we don't do busy or meaningless work. Everything is for a purpose and it's great to see how your daily work positively affects the client's business.
Cons
Each of the above can be construed as a Con if that's not what you want. If you want a structured environment where you do the same task everyday, then you'd hate the work here.
If you want a cube in a huge corporate environment where you clock in at 9 and out at 5, that's not here.
If you like to be micromanaged, that's not here.
