Pros

During Covid, didn’t retrench offers.

Cons

The work is boring and not sure of market placement of the services provided. most tier 1 college folks realised early that it was a mistake and left. I didn’t understand whether some people from top colleges were there because they were passionate about work at Everest… because the work was so copy paste from google and marketing for the company to make it more visible. People posted on LinkedIn and liked each other's posts. They recruited through campus placements from top colleges and when these people left, they replaced them with tier 2/tier 3 colleges. Anyways, cut losses early and leave

Pros

1. Really smart peers (specially those joining from campus; recruits fairly smart candidates from tier 1 B schools) 2. Autonomy given very early in career + exposure to clients

Cons

1. Horrible quality of work ( as many have pointed out its just copy paste from google); worse than backend of consulting firms 2. No respect for employees time or life outside work; additional work will keep piling up at all times and you will be expected to accommodate it within existing timelines 3. Falling hiring standards - Have started hiring from the randomest of MBA schools; quality of peers degrading sharply 4. No firm culture - Everyone works as an individual and there is no culture of team or firm; hardly any fun activities etc. 5. Extremely narrow exit options - If you are unable to quit within a year or two, you will be stuck 6. Bad leadership - managers will throw you under the bus to save their faces 7. Pay is ok but very less benefits/perks - Employees were given 9k to buy WFH furnitures 8. Promotions are based on how much you can pander to the leadership not your skills 9. Always short-staffed - crazy attrition; exiting people have to take up extra work
