Pros

- There are still some people worth working with - It’s a research company, so you have access to read/learn a lot of business research - If you’re junior and money/company direction/culture isn’t a priority, you’ll probably get plenty of experience working here because it’s understaffed and you’ll have multiple jobs - Read adv to mgmt for details

Cons

- Executive leadership makes poor decisions and doesn’t take accountability - Stubbornness in thinking has unnecessarily slowed transformations and adjustments - Continually making poor business and operational decisions that will limit company growth and deteriorates employee experience/talent retention - Read adv to mgmt for details

Pains me to write this when I think back on the positive experiences I had here

Pros

My colleagues are the brightest and most pleasant people l've worked with. They're a large part of the reason l've stayed on for so many years. (But then again, none of this matters when you have a workforce that is pissed off and demotivated about constant lay-offs, claw back of variable compensation and benefits, stagnant pay and lack of progression.) There is direct and open line of communications to department heads (VP), even if you're not direct reports. Lots of opportunities for lateral moves

Cons

The leaders that once made this a great place to work are long gone. The current executive team (which has seen a lot of changes and restructuring in the last two years) is increasingly detached from people on the ground. They've made mistakes on the product strategy, but are not open to acknowledging them, reassessing and changing course, even when clients give negative feedback and start leaving. In response to declining growth, some expense management measures taken include pausing merit pay increases and promotions (on and off, for 2 years now and clawing back of variable compensation that has ALWAYS been a steady source of income for hundreds of people in the company.

Pros

Office layout not too bad.

Cons

-what it essentially is: research sweat shop -people used to be good but culture+relationships became toxic due to business performance pressures and lack of manpower to handle workload after lay offs -unrealistic expectations to just say yes to clients even if it does not align with company vision and values -because of the above, prepare to overwork and overwork (late nights, weekend work) -company vision, products, working model and beliefs reek of 1990s backwardness
