Pros

Colleagues (exclude managers) are really helpful. Always ready to answer your questions.

Cons

High workload High workload High workload Junior staffs are assigned 70-100 cases on your 2nd week mark. Managers are always busy and no time to respond to you when there is questions. Work are more to self study with minimal guidance. EXTREMELY HIGH WORK LOAD! Be ready to clear at least 150 - 300 emails a day. AVOID IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR WORK LIFE BALANCE AS THERE IS CLEARLY NO WORK LIFE BALANCE AT ALL. Teams are always very lean, squeeze every bit out of you. You should be able to multi task at all times. Managers will fault you when there’s minor incident.

Pros

Get to learn more about immigration if you are new to the field A lot of on the job training Decent benefits such as floating leave, gifts for festive periods, considerate about other cultures. Nice colleagues (can’t say for other teams)

Cons

1. Management does not interact with people on the ground, and only listen to middle management. They do not see the work you do at times and are biased to certain individuals. 2. Remote orientation. You are expected to learn everything on your own off the bat 3. High workload, even for new joiners. The training program is not sufficient, and new joiners are expected to learn quickly, and are tossed 50-150 cases depending on rank. 4. Lack of clear direction. Information given by different teams differ vastly. 5. The salary you are paid does not equate to the amount of work you have to put in. Many of the teams stay back at least 1-2 hours after official working hours just to finish their tasks. 6. Work life balance, lack of care for employees. FYI, for an immigration company, they also do not understand work regulations clearly. Employees who are unwell are also allowed back in office le which is ridiculous. 7.Large clients are often not told no, even when it goes against the correct route. 8. Slow internal system. Unable to search for the document we need, even though client portal has already been updated with this search function. Some of the information passed down to the new consultant can also be outdated or not updated in system. 9. Unsatisfactory work scope. Consultants are hired to do basic data entry/filling in forms even though the job scope is advertised is more of advisory work. 10. May have some politics to deal with depending on the team you are on

Pros

You will meet a lot of nice colleagues. HR try to organize fun activities for the company. New office is at a great location.

Cons

Double standards coming from the managers and management. You will only get promoted if you are close with the managers. Other than that they will treat you like nobody. Lack of appreciation towards the staff. If you’re just the despatch or admin you can only wish you’d be promoted. They will only look at your degree. Turnover like hotcakes, nodody really stays that long in this firm.
