Pros

Pay was always on time.

Cons

I have worked as a cleaner for Housekeep for more than 8 months. - I was told I will earn £400 PER WEEK and I was earning between £150 - £180 per week. - I was also told I would work in my LOCAL AREA but I ended up travelling between 1 hour up to 1 hour 45 minutes between my jobs. - I was spending maximum daily fare on transport which is £9.30 as my jobs were far from each other. - I was working around 6 hours per day but including travel time I ended up doing around 10 hours per day. - I had to travel back and forth to the office to pick up and drop off customers keys, with no extra pay or contribution to travel costs (1hours 30minutes journey) - I was told I would become a supervisor and get paid £10 which never happened - I got into trouble by getting bad review from a customer who asked me to clean poop and vomit from the bathroom - Customers were supposed to provide cleaning products or pay £2 for me to bring mine - most of them didn't pay and didn't buy any products so I had to use my own Very bad experience. I left as soon as I got a new, permanent position. I worked as a cleaner before, but this job was very hard and not rewarding. Don't reccomend.

Pros

You get paid every two weeks

Cons

You can get sent to some really badly kept homes. (That's being polite). Customer can give you one star and you can't challenge or add any feed back, you must just accept what is written publically about yourself. Don't know if I was just unlucky getting so many of the flat shares where no one but you are cleaning the bath, if you can imagine that. Cleaning mould off walls and cleaning ovens for 8.50 is too much expectation. Also customers can book you for two hours once a month or every two weeks and still expect you to finish their homes. It's impossible. Not like the traditional cleaning agencies where they truly listen to both staff and customers, Where they look at customers homes first to establish how many hours needed for true clean. Here customer picks how many hours they want and it is so totally unrealistic and quite obviously by the amount of cleaning some homes require is not reflected in the amount of hours your expected to do it in.

Pros

Can be convenient if you are desperate to get a job, but do not expect too much

Cons

They don't look out for you. Customers can cancel even when you are right in front of their house. They don't give enough work. It's not reliable. The worst part is that customers can book a cleaning of a 3 bathroom 3 bedroom house (including kitchen an living room) and expect you to clean all that in 2 hours, and if you don't do it you'll get a bad review, which will affect the amount of customers/access to jobs outside of your area. Customers will expect you to do end of tenancy cleaning, in detail cleaning without warning. It's just BAD. Housekeep doesn't care. The training are 2 videos and they will ask you for around 56 pounds prior to signing up (they say that it's for the security check, though I had mine and they still charged me the same amount. They take 50% of all of your earnings and still, whenever they put the money in your account, they'll take another sum of money.
