Pros

You might meet a few decent colleagues before they burn out or quit.

Cons

Management will dump their own mistakes and problems on you. The CTO in particular loves to play the blame game instead of taking responsibility. Outdated, backward management style straight from the corporate dinosaur era. Annual salary review is a joke — always below inflation.

Pros

Competitive Salary. Comprehensive Benefits: Medical insurance, gym reimbursement, and English language lessons.

Cons

Abysmal Onboarding: No structured training. Manager explicitly stated, "I won’t teach you – you’re not an intern," expecting self-taught mastery of outdated documentation. Unrealistic Expectations: Criticized for not finding bugs in smoke tests within days of joining, despite being new to the project. Manager demanded "indispensable" contributions in 2 weeks. Micromanagement: Mandatory daily Slack status updates. Chaotic Workflows: Daily "30-minute" meetings dragging to 1 hour with 20+ attendees. Lack of Resources: Critical testing equipment withheld for weeks, blocking core app functionality. Outdated Processes: many of test cases obsolete, documentation unreliable.

Pros

High Engineering Standards: The interview process is rigorous, which reflects the high caliber of the team. You’ll work with true professionals in a facilitating environment. Focus on Quality: Unlike many companies, IDT values technical health. A significant portion of time is dedicated to tech debt, code refactoring, and infrastructure improvements—not just business features. Transparent Growth: Compensation is competitive, and there is a very clear, transparent framework for how to increase your salary and progress in your career.

Cons

On-Call Demands: Incident calls can be a reality here. While the tech debt focus helps, you should be prepared for occasional high-pressure support situations.

Thank you for providing such a thoughtful and detailed review of your time with IDT. We are thrilled that our commitment to technical health and high engineering standards resonates with you. We firmly believe that dedicating time to refactoring and infrastructure isn't just a ""nice-to-have"" but the foundation of building a sustainable, scalable business. It is also great to hear that our transparent career framework provides the clarity you need to grow your compensation and role with confidence. Regarding your mention of on-call demands: while we strive to minimize incidents by prioritizing tech debt and system stability, the nature of large-scale infrastructure means high-pressure situations can arise. We are committed to supporting our engineers during these times and ensuring that our ""facilitating environment"" extends to how we handle incidents and post-mortems together. Thank you for your dedication to quality and for being a part of our professional community.

Pros

Good place for work with great opportunities to grow from a technical perspective, modern and wide stack of technologies with some legacy parts. Ability to influence the product and make decisions, work with infrastructure and so on. Ability to work remotely, almost from any location where you can connect to the internet, and flexible working hours. Not bad corporate equipment. Overall, good people, not bad management.

Cons

Quite a basic benefits package for Poland. Compensation rates are lower than the market value, as well as low percentage of yearly salary increase (usually lower than the inflation rate). From time to time, business and management want quick results at the expense of quality, without allocating time for improvements in the future.

Thank you for your feedback. We aim to have a diverse workforce with team members by offering competitive compensation through out the world and in some locations, we are unable to have a local office or specific benefits, but we try to make up for that with different compensation structures. We value your notes on compensation and project pacing and we are continuously reviewing our global salary benchmarks and internal processes to ensure we are balancing business speed with high-quality output.
