      Join but understand what you are getting into

      Pros

      Small team & you get your own office. Great place for statistics nerds. Unparalleled database and no one else in world has something even close.

      Cons

      Zero work life balance. Director throws out a meaningless target manhours for each project and everyone ends up working weekend & public holidays to hit those targets. Toxic work culture, HR is absolutely clueless and they don't even renew your visa without you having to remind them.

      Great team, great opportunities to travel, some interesting work

      Cons

      Company management is resistant to change. They see their competitors moving forward in terms of goals and technology, but other than talking about it there’s no actionable plans ever.

      You get to see project management and decision making in a lot of major capital projects in the resources sector within a short space of time. Lots of global travel and set work process

      Cons

      Shelf life of only 3-5 years for those you are capable of doing and earning more than being in capitalist organization with a very socialist management structure.
