Just Don’t Do It

Pros

The leadership team takes time from their busy lives to submit the only positive reviews on here. And they’re not even good at that! I’ve seen more convincing reviews by bots.

Cons

Despite two major (big investments) attempts at trying to reset the company identity and culture, IS continues to fail because the only thing they haven’t gutted is the leadership team. They have toxic people in leadership positions that continue to poison the well. If Zensar is serious about keeping IS as a viable company they are going to have to face the music and gut the leadership team.

Pros

There are great and talented people working here. Most are keen to help each other in any way they can. They're very flexible with schedules. You can always take an hour or two for appointments and do flex time. You can generally tell that immediate supervisors and managers want you to be happy and succeed. If only that was enough.

Cons

Project timelines are CHAOS. There is a complete disconnect between what account managers promise clients and what's actually feasible to accomplish. They have zero understanding of the creative the process. "Sure, we can get that done in 7 weeks, no problem!" Even if these timelines were possible, they'd need to be closely monitored by capable project managers. Unfortunately projects are doomed to fail from the start because the project managers are thrown to the wolves with little to no training. All of this might be tolerable if the PTO package was at least average (it's not), the benefits were good (they're not) or the pay was appropriate for your area and field and of expertise (it's woefully low). There's a reason why the turnover is as high as it is.

Pros

Everyone under the director level is awesome - Indigo Slate seems to be great at finding amazing talent, but not keeping it Okay place to gain experience, but I suggest moving on very quickly Beer on Fridays Great kitchen snacks Fairly flexible work hours Pretty great/fun environment most of the time Good benefits

Cons

Incredibly low salaries Sexist management (seriously don't even reply to me about this one, ya'll know) Passive aggressive management Executives are never on the same page, which creates chaos Poor project management practices Management caves to clients frequently, creating stress and unprofitable projects No career trajectory, unless you like pretending Indigo Slate is a great place to work Work/life balance is frowned upon No acknowledgement for people who go above and beyond their job description Occasionally you feel like you're back in high school when directors and executives spread rumors about you (I almost have to applaud Indigo Slate for this one, I thought I'd never feel like I was in high school again! So full of angst and rebellion!) There's probably more but I've blocked it out
