Pros

Projects (when they do come along) are extremely intellectually stimulating; you get to work on highly strategic problem statements. The frameworks and problem-solving tools you learn are quite useful.

Cons

Leadership flaws are disguised as personality quirks; there is rampant favoritism and a general lack of empathy bordering on disdain. Actual strategy projects are far and few - you will spend most of your time working on mini-workshops, business development, or "thought leadership" (which usually ends up being a rehash of old material).

- Fantastic people with a rare combination of intellect and humility - Attractive total compensation and benefits - Varied projects with high exposure to many industries - High-performance culture

Cons

- Clients are oversold on their ability to transform with Innosight's help and this leads to limited real impact in the long run. Many leaders have not really built businesses of their own to accurately advise clients. - Feedback on Partners is a box-ticking exercise that has limited consequences. - Partners are highly variable in quality and contributions to the firm. - Consultants can over-intellectualize things that could be simple - Work scope can sometimes be very demanding
