Pros
The people here at Kelly Mitchell are willing to go above and beyond to making sure you have the best experience on boarding! With any question I had, there was always someone willing to pick up the phone and give me an answer, no matter how small the question may have seemed. They guided me through every step and we're always kind and made me feel appreciated. You know you're signing up with a good company when their main objective is to make sure you're happy and get the best position possible. I couldn't recommend them more!
Cons
A lot of paperwork! But it's to be expected.

The Good and the Bad.
28 Apr 2023 - Technical Recruiter in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The other recruiters you work with will become invaluable in maintaining your sanity. They do hire GOOD people.
Cons
It is a constant grind that will not always be rewarded. All clients are different and you will not always have the same opportunities as your peers despite the claim.

Find a Better Opportunity ASAP! Toxic Work
22 Jul 2022 - Technical Recruiter in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Uncapped Commission (.05%) - Coworkers are some of the most hard working people in the world - Industry exp. gained allows for you to go anywhere - People orientated sales exp and working directly with Fortune 100 clients
Cons
- You will not find a more toxic environment anywhere else then at KM - Technical Recruiter has more responsibilities then some CDM's - The focus of quantity over quality, almost impossible to strategically recruit - They don't maintain talent internally, nor will have your best interest in mind - No work life balance at all (have fun working 60 - 70 hour work weeks....) - Micromanaging from leadership and favoritism at it's finest - They don't hire people who are quirky or "not culture fits", (big red flag) - At Will Employee: you can be let go or fired anytime, no real stability.

Great place to work!
16 Feb 2023 - Talent Director in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Kellymitchell Group has been a great home with so much opportunity. Outside of the compensation/commission structure and opportunity for growth, the culture is what makes this place. It's a competitive environment but everyone is rooting for you to succeed. If you have a good work ethic and positive attitude, you will be successful!
Cons
There is a lot in this role that is out of your control. There are a lot of ebbs and flows but as long as you keep grinding and stay positive, you'll be alright.

Best Teammates + Incredible Personal & Professional Development
13 Feb 2023 - Client Engagement Manager in Saint Louis, MORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You are surrounded by opportunity to learn, grow, and make a solid living! The amount of both personal and professional growth I've achieved in this role is seriously incredible, if I do say so myself, and I'm completely unrecognizable from when I started back in 2021.
Cons
Sometimes you face longer hours, but they have ALWAYS been fruitful and worth it in my experience.

Arbeit macht frei (Work sets you free)
2 Jan 2023 - in Saint Louis, MORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
A conduit from the client company's coffers to your wallet. Nothing more.
Cons
It's a mill. They hire "Technical Recruiters" straight out of college, chew them up and spit them out. If you are a contractor working through Kelly Mitchell, expect zero support as you are handed off from technical recruiter to technical recruiter, roughly once or twice every year. If the client company increases what they pay Kelly Mitchell, your rate of pay will not get a corresponding increase, unless you find out about it and threaten to leave over it. I found out that with some tough negotiating, I could receive 80% of what the client company paid Kelly Mitchell, but I know of other contractors that made less than 50%.

Pros
Some of the people you work with are great.
Cons
You will work 50+ hours a week to hit your goals and numbers which are unattanable and unrealistic. You have literal hours of'homework' that you aren't paid for. Micromanaged. Your success depends on your territory team, and the company you are trying to fill jobs for. They prefer quantity over quality. I was burnt out during my second week on the job. A manipulative culture where they throw in your face how lucky you are to be there.

Great out of college job
7 Nov 2022 - Technical Recruiter in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The culture is very fun and the office is high energy. A lot of your coworkers are around the same age and become friends. The base is pretty standard and commission adds up quickly if you work hard. You can make a good amount in commission just from a few hires.
Cons
There can be highs and lows and a lot of uncontrollable factors. But if you stick it out, the commission adds up pretty quickly. It’s a lot of hours in the beginning but once you start to understand the process you’ll work until 5.
