Pros

Great and friendly colleagues. If you have great negotiation skills, you may get good base salary but then it would stick there because it reached the so called salary range limitation meaning that you will not get salary adjustment for the next years. Do not expect career growth opportunities because the company is already in a declining phase.

Cons

Boss dominated culture. Workplace politics is the highest among other companies in the same industry. HR just gives all their authorization to your line manager. It has a culture that your line manager is always right. If you get an unfair treatment from your line manager, HR will not be able to help anything because the only thing they would say is to let you go to talk with your line manager. HR and your line manager would gossip about you behind close door. When you look around in the office, there would be some people talk something behind the close door and it may relate to you, your team or your colleague. If you don't like someone, you can just backstabbing them by telling make up story to their line manager. Then the gossiping process will start without you being aware or have chance to clarify anything. The senior management is also terrible. They just want to protect their status. The only thing they do is to talk about cost cutting by laying off some people and closing down some plants. They will hide everything from you. Sometimes, the media knows it even before they make any announcement within the organization. Although you might find some great colleagues here, I can feel that everyone suffer from the same fate. HR and your line manager never discuss about your career future seriously . In fact, there will be no career advancement unless they lay off some people first through the so called restructuring program. Then, there may be a new position that you can apply. All key decisions are relationship based and had been decided based on guts feeling and gossiping of few people who call themselves leader. Almost all of the senior management are pretty old from baby boomer ages. I feel that everyone want to leave the company but they just stay here because they do not get a new job yet. Team morale is currently at the lowest.

Pros

Great for individuals who would like to gain a step into a MNC. Staff purchase (cap at 3 cartons / 2 months). Interesting to liase with colleagues from around the world. Mid and higher management gets more opportunities to grow.

Cons

In denial that compensatory package is "market rate" even when their internal feedback has constantly said otherwise. Friendly colleagues but lack of warmth (not very genuine as people still keep a distance). Staff purchase 3 cartons cap is not very helpful for staff with big families. Office location is very bad. Quite a distance from the train station, lack of AFFORDABLE lunch options in the area - i.e. current location about 2-3x more costly than in CBD or other business areas (not helping when the salary is below market rate). Lack of proper training/not willing to train -lots of empty promises to train Workload is usually okay but multiple times had to work on projects that others initated but they themselves did not want to do... which can be really annoying

Pros

Kimberly Clark is a company that is ethical and environmentally focused.

Cons

Unfair practices that is skewed towards who you know. People are not valued for their skills and capabilities or even performance. It all boils down to who you know. Not recommended if you want to work in an equitable place that rewards merit and performance.
