Pros

Decent pay Life in Morocco—great weather, food, people

Cons

Everything: the most toxic, lying environment I’ve ever seen. First of all, there is no tenure, whatever they promise you. They’ll make you feel like you’re joining the university that will change Africa, but once you’re there the reality sets in. You have no job security (they fire people every few months, even with permanent contracts) and the Dean of the faculty is a crazed self centered sociopath who acts like a true dictator. They also change your classes every year and waste your time with a ton of admin. As a result, between all the teaching and admin work, and time spent dealing with abusive, toxic admins, your time for research is limited. Avoid it like the plague!

Pros

They will attract you and lure you to accept a position by offering a good salary and package, but it's a trap.

Cons

They are desperate and will beg you to work there by offering you the whole package: good salary, housing etc., but it is not worth it for the following reasons: - toxic environment from top management level - they will end your employment without any warning - you have to be incompetent and part of the "regime" to get promoted - too much money no common sense - bad management and organisation - communication between different departments is rubbish - no one gives a direct clear answer and will keep you running round in circles to resolve a query - do not know how to collaborate with staff and external partners - a big PR machine and lots of glossy publicity but no substance when it comes to teaching students and supporting staff - if you want to work hard, are competent, highly experienced, want to progress and get more professional/personal development, this is not the place for you - completely delusional thinking: university has no world ranking status but everyone thinks they are at the same level as ivy league institutes! - majority of staff are incompetent and only get a job because of their connections to friends and family already employed, perfect example of nepotism! - lots of backstabbing to get promoted, acquire funding for non-existent projects - people are mostly concerned about their status and job title rather than skills and competence - the few who work hard and want to achieve something are sidelined or expulsed - trying too hard to present itself as a flexible institute but in reality is dictatorial - warning again: very toxic environment that will cause you mental stress and affect your health Stay away from this university!!! Not worth even one-star review!!!
