Pros

Great management team, atmosphere, culture, and flexibility. Favorable to hybrid and remote work. Great learning opportunities as the environment can feel like a start-up atmosphere at times with problems to solve on the fly.

Cons

Peloton bikes haven't been working at office!

Pros

Remote work option, decent work/life balance.

Cons

Orion has had a major culture shift since Natalie Wolfsen stepped in as new CEO and it's not been for the better. Since Covid, Orion was a fully remote company which proved to be conducive to productivity. Work was getting done, the company was profiting and employees were happy. Enter Natalie and her first order of business was to force anyone within a 45 minute commute to an Orion office to go back in three times a week. Orion employees responded en masse with resistance and this message was ignored. A more recent Natalie Wolfsen effort was to create a "global workforce", onboarding teams of resources in India which raised many red flags to onshore workers. Despite our anxieties, we were assured that no jobs were in danger and the offshore teams were meant purely as supplemental resources to us in the states. Last month, once it was deemed that the offshore teams were up to speed and firing on all cylinders (even though they weren't), many back office positions in the states were eliminated. We were told the layoffs were a direct result of economic uncertainty and stock market swings, but a quick look into Natalies history reveals that she is, and has always been a big advocate of utilizing offshore teams as they are more "cost effective". Orion was a great company to work for, but since Natalie Wolfsens inclusion, it's become just another stress inducing, overly corporate mess.

Pros

Not much anymore. I guess if you’re able to handle a call center type position, and want a hybrid schedule, it could be okay.

Cons

New leadership does not care about employees, only concerns are customer wait times and NPS scores. After COVID we were told we would stay remote, though some offices stayed open if employees wanted hybrid/in-office. New CEO came in and is converting us back to mandatory hybrid work schedule, even though a large portion of the company does not live close to a building. Pay has not increase to meet inflation, let alone bonuses. Good managers leave as soon as another offer comes along because of how draining upper management is. The bad managers that replace them then cause good workers to find work elsewhere. No real/good training for employees in place, everyone gets thrown into the engagement queues, some teams everyday, some during QE only (but either way it was not part of their initial job description when hired). It’s turning into a call center and there is no way to get feedback to the product teams or upper management to let them know what customers really want. They think they know best and get tunnel vision, and then just like everything else we’ve made so far, it falls short, backfires, or causes more problems on top of the ones we’ve already got.
