Pros

Opportunity to work with a variety of aspects that pertain to Human Resources. If you are comfortable with vague or unstructured environment with little availability of information, then you would enjoy this firm.

Cons

Panthers always fighting with one another and taking it out on employees. They mention in the interview that it is flexible hours, you can work from home; once they sign you on, you come to quickly realize that is not the case. Portray the culture as team oriented when they are constantly bickering or gossiping. No benefits.

Pros

Start-up with established existing contracts with Aboriginal communities built from past service agreements Niche marketability small-firm developing specialized expertise Excellent flex-schedule, virtual work options and salary/benefits Striving to set themselves apart from other consulting firms Perks: Macbook/lap top, cell phone paid, cloud work platform, vacation & paid office holiday closure

Cons

Major issues with confidentiality for personnel and client information Small (4-5) partnership group, with passive expectation that employees are workaholics - female lead partner (whose a workaholic) has little to no patience for staff development/learning, and seems more concerned revenue the firm generates. Firm's portrayal of diversity/willingness to distinguish themselves versus other firms (i.e. more open bilingual/Anglophone environment) ; really is a facade when internal team meetings are singularly held in French, no? A lot of travel expectations for staff, so if you have a family or personal life; not well suited Well-intentioned project managers; but lack of business processes in place - you are supposed to figure out what you need to do, little to no direction Very clear favouritism and preferential treatment for some and not all staff

Pros

They offer flexible hours, the new office is really nice, downtown

Cons

Do not maximize the potential of their employees. Underuse the potential and capability of their employees. Employees with Master degree education do clerk tasks. No respect for employees opinion. One of the owner is a workaholic and expect the same from her employees. She works even on vacation. She has the mindset, my way or the highway.
