A great company with a huge HR problem.

Pros

100% remote work company for all employees. A great deal of Procurement expertise in organization.

Cons

There are no HR employees at this company which exposes the company to employment law violations. There is one person that handles HR, the Chief Talent Officer, and they have no clue what they are doing. Use extreme caution when applying to this company, but especially if you live in California or are applying for an HR role. They pay the same amount regardless of the employee location. If you live in the Bay Area, you will be offered 60k for a position that requires a degree and 3-5 years experience. If you get a sign-on bonus and end up leaving they will try to withhold the bonus amount from your last paycheck. California has a lot of laws that are favorable to employees. The Chief Talent Officer, again the only HR person in the company, thinks their “policies” out-rule actual laws.

We certainly appreciate this forum which allows people to share their perspectives. We do in fact have a legal firm review all of our policies, documents and practices, including terminations for performance, to ensure we are in compliance with all federal and state laws.

Pros

Limited reimbursement for tuition and physical fitness to compensate for low pay.

Cons

Within 30 days had almost no communication at all with the project manager for 1-2 months. Communication is quite literally non-existent. The CEO has no too little involvement. There is leadership listed on the website that you will never hear from. Leadership changes course every month resulting in wasted time on internal initiatives. Business development opportunities constantly fall through. This firm bills based on a fixed cost for staff, so they hire many inexperienced people to increase profits. If you are experienced you will burnout quickly. This is not a place to grow as a consultant or a procurement professional. Extremely egotistic staff since hiring has been inherently virtual this firm attracts people experienced in dramatic embellishment. It's not worth your mental health.

Pros

Easy paycheck and bonus is ok!

Cons

I miss the former CEO, he knew what he was doing. New CEO is an ego maniac and loves to hear himself speak. Head of HR is extremely unqualified and has extreme control issues. Favoritism is the only way to move up....if you aren't in the club, then you will never make it. Pay is insanely low. Benefits are awful
