Cons

Heavy focus on virtual meetings so you spend a lot of time on Google Meet calls and so it can then be a struggle to get work done within your working week, leading to the need to catch up on evenings and weekends. Most roles are 100% virtual which is positive for a "work from anywhere" perspective but can lead to disengagement and lack of team bonding as people never/rarely meet in person.

Pros

Lots of opportunity to those who wish to develop if you land on a team with a decent manager. I had a fantastic manager my first couple of years who supported my career path - unfortunately, it all went down hill the next 2years due to poor management

Cons

Poor team management on certain accounts Appalling bonuses and pay increases since Covid Constant redundancies due to client performance

Pros

- Predictable workload - Flexible hours - Work-life balance was good - Good pay - Low drama

Cons

- Lack of overall direction for product ecosystem - Design managed directly by pool of competing PMs, so it's difficult to influence decisions - Each team is siloed, so design was unable to oversee implementation of solutions - Trying to do any form of research was like pulling teeth. Had to campaign for cross-team collaboration for 2 months before any research could be conducted - Underlying fear within each team to push back or suggest changes to product
