Horrendously unethical CEO

Pros

Many of the people here are incredibly kind and deserve better.

Cons

After reading the reviews and salary data on Glassdoor, I am absolutely confident that the CEO wrote multiple of these himself. Retensa is a small company and I know from my peers what we make. It's MUCH lower than what many employees have theoretically reported here. And the CEO is so dishonest and untrustworthy, I wouldn't put it past him to make multiple email accounts just to report false info. There's something really strange happening with the CEO regarding the money. He claims to not follow up with clients on payment, but doesn't seem concerned about it. Then almost every single time our paychecks are due, he has a new and creative excuse for why he can't pay. Then he always promises to pay next time. He's very manipulative too, saying things like "you should be appreciative that I'm even being honest and sharing this with you."

Good for internship, not for career

Pros

- Really good learning opportunities, especially for students with little/no experience. - most people are nice/willing to help - interesting projects

Cons

- Very low pay for interns and hourly employees considering the amount of work, stress, and responsibility given - 3-4 month long delays for receiving paychecks - They don't practice what they preach about retaining employees. they have low pay, stressful workloads, terrible benefits, and no opportunities for staff to anonymously submit feedback. the leader is either delusional or really good at manipulating people into thinking this is an amazing place to work... felt like bait & switch for a company that focuses on employee retention, who's leader is a 'retention expert', they don't seem to do much to retain their own staff or realize that there is a problem... if you're really looking to gain experience, and you can afford to not get paid for 6-7 months, this is a good start as you will learn a lot. but leave once internship is over.
