Pros

The healthcare benefits are great and they also offer family care leaves, whereby you can bring your parents/ spouse to visit doctor when they are sick without submission of mc. A great promoter of health and well-being company

Cons

There are too many headcounts of HR personnel and this could leads to a lot of red tape and inefficient work culture. Majority are female and there are lots of politics in HR department. Most are young (20- 30s), who like to form their own clique and will assess if others are "fit" to be in their group. They ostracise people who are not that sociable or not "deemed fitting" in their group. The culture of pleasing boss(es) or "shoes polishing" is also strong with people who win the favors of bosses and come from more 'prestigious' institute among the family group, which is SGH, will have more opportunities to take on more responsibilities.

Worst Department ever

Pros

The policy and procedures, CEO and company benefits and welfare is good. The HR does a good job at trying to keep people. And salary is good.

Cons

The department and its tough manager. The worst place I’ve ever worked at. Many staffs are new and is less than a year but the managers are the longest serving people. They are just too strict, stringent on so many policies and procedures that executives suffer day in and out. Leave is so hard to take as we the lowest ranking executives are the ones who execute most of the work and managers refuse to help. We have to settle everything first then take leave. Therefore what’s the point of giving so many leaves ??? . Managers are tough ‘team leaders’ who only orders and scold at the back but never help in fire fighting at the front. And this place has the worst culture ever. The attitude of the managers never change. People keep leaving. So much negativity. Everyday come work always get scolded. Managers like to scold executives in front of other people. How can a human work there ? Might as well hire robots to do work.

Met good people and no more... Sigh

Cons

Slow progression and a management that is totally about status quo, not rocking the boat etc etc. Boring stuff that leads to no dynamism. Fake people, even those who represent a religion but act another way and feel so good about it.
