Pros

The diverse mix of people who work on the phones where all nice people.

Cons

The pay is appalling for what you have to put up with the training for the roles are are minimal your then thrown into the role and its "sink or swim". VERY BAD ! culture of bulling & harassment even on the most tiny things however if you are in managements buddy club they'd let you get away with murder. Career advancement forget it unless you are fresh out of school with no life experience and can be manipulated & moulded & have 0% people skills. Extremely hypocritical company does not live up to their "mantra" many staff end up drinking heavily after work. Targets are set so its almost impossible to achieve the monthly incentive which is usually not much at all. "open book management" = shut up put up don't question anything or you'll be set upon (I am not lying !) also if they end up not liking you they will set you up to be terminated this happened to so many good staff. Ive had many jobs in my life & this is the worst !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros

Can sit at a desk all day and can help the client. Many people there are very qualified with advanced uni degrees but it's hard to get a job right now so they're working here to survive. Your peers are friends, team leaders and management are not your friends.

Cons

The pay is very bad and you will be abused by customers all day because there is no integrity in the company and nothing gets done. KPIs are hard and you will be constantly hounded by TL/managers if you're not doing well enough. High turnover rate, low empathy from anyone in power. I've seen some really low ball sketchy tactics used by people in operations. As soon as I get another job, I'm gone.

Pros

None - this is a horrible place to work

Cons

Everything - horrible managers and team leaders with no idea. Ridiculous office practices. Worked at the Maroochydore QLD Call Centre - horrible management that treat staff like dirt even when you are a high achiever. You are only as good as your last phone call. You are micro managed to the last 30 seconds. The customers are often rude and demanding. Stellar takes the attitude that the customer is ALWAYS right no matter what and does not support the staff. Managers will walk straight past you like you don't exist. Pay is ridiculously low for what you have to do. We were told on the 3rd day that managers and team leaders are NOT your friend and we were told not to socialise with them. They outright stated that the managers and team leaders are only there to drive us to target. I've never experienced this culture before. I am quite highly skilled and qualified and so HR lied to me to get me to join. Lied about bonuses and lied about advancement. I hated every day there and began looking for other work after the third week. I don't even include my short stay with Stellar on my resume. Avoid avoid avoid unless you absolutely NEED a job. Will take anything. Like to be walked all over and have no career aspirations.
