Pros

Some good people who care about the mission.

Cons

Executive leadership is lacking. Very little concept of agile practices or folks with enterprise SaaS experience. The top executives are disconnected from the business.

Job Interview Process

Pros

Stretto located in Irvine, CA

Cons

Initial phone interview with Executive Assistant, Robin, then about 10 days later phone interview with the marketing hiring manager, Catherine. Then even more phone interviews the next week with the Marketing people in their Chicago office with Miranda and Stephanie. Nice people but fake at the same time. They agreed with all my responses/ answers and loved my ambition then I get an automated email 2 weeks later saying they are not be moving forward with my application. Stephanie was the one that was fake the most. Every answer I gave, she responded with "I agree" or "Yes, I can relate to that." So, if you agree with ALL of my answers and are on the same page with me, why did you not want to move forward with my application? Seems no pressure on herself since she has a job, getting paid and does not feel for others since she was in the same position since she mentioned it to me. Why are you not moving forwards if you agreed with my responses and told me that I would be a great fit with the team culture? Why are you sending me an automated rejected response when the executive was in contact with me from the start?? Also, I was always flexible to their times, I rescheduled interviews to fit their times and was considerate of their schedule and now they don't care about me by rejecting me. Seems like the interview process at Stretto is really unprofessional and ran by people who have no empathy for others or experience with interviewing. Seems like they are going to hire someone who has a connection with them since they do not like giving others opportunity to showcase their work ethic. How do you know the person you are going to hire is better than me?

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on the interview process. Stretto receives numerous resumes for our open positions and as many candidates have strong skills and qualifications, selecting the next team member is not always an easy choice. We appreciate your interest in employment with Stretto and wish you the best of luck in your career search.

Pros

No "pros" that I can think of.

Cons

There was a complete change in Executive Management about 2 years ago, and it's been worse ever since. Executive Management doesn't see how low the morale is, because they are not among the little people. Management would work its people 24/7, if they were permitted. They do not understand the concept of work/life balance. And while you may have the vacation hours to take time off, it's like pulling teeth for them to let you take it. True that there are a handful of people who've been with the company for 5+ years, and in some cases 20 years, there just isn't any room for advancement and those that have been with the company long-term either aren't qualified to apply for another company (no on-going training), or are too tired at the end of the day to search for another job. They low-ball your compensation and don't offer annual pay increases. They do offer annual "discretionary" bonuses, but that's only when the company makes a profit at the end of the year.
