Working at TS3D

Pros

The company is very flexible which is great if you have a family or children. The health benefits and time off are good. Most managers are open to working remotely which is nice if you have to commute. Most of the people I work with are fun to be around.

Cons

There is little accountability across the board. There seems to be a disproportionate amount of management and process for the size of some of the teams. Exciting or relevant initiatives often get sidelined or never realized to their full potential. Knowledge is very siloed which makes it hard to branch out into new areas.

Best CEO and Benefits!

Pros

The CEO is passionate about the work and truly cares about the employees. Many current employees stay with the company solely due to his leadership, including myself. The benefits are truly amazing, one of a kind.

Cons

The vibe from the Exec Team does not always trickle down to front-line management. Employees gain most morale from senior leaders.

Tech Soft 3D Response
4y
It is always sad to see employees leave. In rare cases (such as this one) where we lose an unhappy employee, it also becomes a motivator to improve. At Tech Soft 3D, we take pride in our culture which is built on transparency, trust and respect. It shows in the people that work here and in the way they build positive relationships. It also shows in people’s willingness to provide straightforward feedback like this. It’s true that we’ve experienced the types of growing pains that so many software companies have gone through while shifting to an Agile approach. While we’re confident that these changes will help us build better products and increase the satisfaction of our team members, it’s also certainly true that there have been challenges along the way. The issues highlighted here are part of those growing pains, but we remain adamantly convinced that our decision to adopt agile principles and be more partner focused are the right direction for our company, our customers and ultimately for our team members. Along the way, we’ll continue to learn and improve from situations like this one in our continual pursuit of excellence.

Great core values and the place to be

Pros

Great benefits and decent salary. They really live their core values and that has made a huge difference both internally and with customers. Customers see that people care and that is one of the reasons they stick with the company and continue to build their products on their technology.

Cons

Not many. As the company has grown it is becoming more difficult to keep the same spirit but that is a great problem to have. As with all fast growing companies that are pain points as people stretch to cover areas where there is no new headcount.

A Great company, with better people!

Pros

I was a TS3D employee for almost 10 years, and it was the best company I had worked for in my career. They have a solid business model, and I was able to learn a tremendous amount and advance my career. Even better than the company and the benefits though were the people. I have never had so many coworkers that I would call friends, and many of those friendships still continue after leaving the company. TS3D lives its core values, and even a remote employee like myself was able to meet almost all of the rest of the company, and spend time at multiple offices. While there are obviously stressful times, there's also time to recover and time to play. There's a definite work hard, play hard attitude. The execs are also absolutely approachable and I would regularly discuss all manner of items with many of them. If you want to feel connected in the company, it's on you - everyone else is readily available. I've now switched to a much larger company, and I knew it'd be a step backwards in some ways. One of those was benefits. While my compensation has the potential to be larger than it was at TS3D, the actual benefits (insurance for one) is much more expensive. TS3D takes care of its people!

Cons

Covid hit hard, like it did for every other company. Part of the appeal of TS3D was getting to be face to face with your peers from around the world and those 2 years slammed the brakes on it. It also delayed plans around further acquisitions (TS3D was in a growth phase) which delayed career opportunities. I believe that without the effects of the pandemic that wouldn't have been the case.

Pros

Our CEO makes Tech Soft 3D an amazing place to be. Positive culture that is taking shape and becoming even more positive as the company grows. Amazing benefits.

Cons

Managers do not hold people accountable. There is a competitive, political, and unfriendly vibe with a few employees that is a real bummer to deal with.
