Pros
I was a TS3D employee for almost 10 years, and it was the best company I had worked for in my career. They have a solid business model, and I was able to learn a tremendous amount and advance my career. Even better than the company and the benefits though were the people. I have never had so many coworkers that I would call friends, and many of those friendships still continue after leaving the company. TS3D lives its core values, and even a remote employee like myself was able to meet almost all of the rest of the company, and spend time at multiple offices.
While there are obviously stressful times, there's also time to recover and time to play. There's a definite work hard, play hard attitude. The execs are also absolutely approachable and I would regularly discuss all manner of items with many of them. If you want to feel connected in the company, it's on you - everyone else is readily available.
I've now switched to a much larger company, and I knew it'd be a step backwards in some ways. One of those was benefits. While my compensation has the potential to be larger than it was at TS3D, the actual benefits (insurance for one) is much more expensive. TS3D takes care of its people!
Cons
Covid hit hard, like it did for every other company. Part of the appeal of TS3D was getting to be face to face with your peers from around the world and those 2 years slammed the brakes on it. It also delayed plans around further acquisitions (TS3D was in a growth phase) which delayed career opportunities. I believe that without the effects of the pandemic that wouldn't have been the case.
