Pros

Good company culture, coworkers are very close and friendly. Everyone is supportive.

Cons

In office from 8:30-11am to play games and practice sales pitch (unpaid) then travel from 11am-12pm to Walmarts up to an hour away (no gas reimbursement). Annoy shoppers from 12pm-7pm to sign up for an energy supplier. Your days off are Tuesday and Wednesday, but if you don’t meet your goal of 40 sales for the week, you are expected to work past 7pm or work on your days off. Absolutely no work life balance. Office happy hour every Thursday night that isn’t mandatory, but highly encouraged, and more opportunities to spend time with coworkers outside of work (as if 8:30-7pm isn’t enough). Bottom line: research the parent company before accepting. They have various branches under different names to hide the horrible reviews. If you want to stand in Walmart bothering people all day to sell them an energy supplier, maybe this is a good fit for you, otherwise I’d stay away. Don’t make the same mistake I did and assume this job won’t be too bad for the money they claim you’ll make. This is a pyramid scheme without the money you put in to it, but instead you’re putting a ridiculous amount of time into it. There is a high turnover at this job for a reason, they’re always hiring and will call you minutes after you leave the interview to offer you a job.

Hi Reviewer. Thanks for taking the time to leave us some feedback. We're sorry to hear that you didn't like our systems and scheduling. We've had great success with it thus far, but understand that it might not be a match for everyone. We believe each individual is responsible for creating work/life balance in their own life. We have systems and training in place so that we can be confident in our team's abilities to get the job done in the time allotted for the task. If additional time is needed, we try to provide opportunities for completion as well. Our clients hire us to represent them because we're great with people and can deliver better results than they can get on their own. We have a reputation for excellence within our industry, and we try our best to not have customers feel like we are annoying them. We are a privately held company, and we don't have a parent company or any other names, so you might be confusing us with someone else. A pyramid scheme is an illegal business practice and we do not participate in any illegal business practices. We do provide an entrepreneurially-minded work environment and performance-based compensation structure that aids our team greatly in their professional development and growth. If you would like to further discuss anything regarding your employment experience, we welcome you to contact us at the office. Wishing you success in your next endeavor.

Lack of Transparency in Interview

Pros

There's an opportunity if you love standing in Walmart

Cons

The entire job is a bit misleading from the get-go. In the interview, you just hear over an over about how much money everyone makes. It's a bit weird. They mention it's consumer sales, but fail to mention that your entire job is standing in a Walmart pushing an energy supplier on customers with no information. You bark at customers all day who want nothing to do with you, and it feels a bit like preying on the uneducated. There's an overall lack of training, and to top it off you don't get paid for office time or travel. If you're not at your sales targets you're expected to work long hours and on your off-days to make up for it. They offer quick promotion, but the only thing that initially changes are your sales targets are increased.

Hi Reviewer, thanks for sharing your opinions about working at Trig. As a performance-based company, we do talk regularly about commissions, top performers, and the achievements of our team members. Generally, we find that people love being recognized for their efforts. We represent our clients in retail settings and meet with their customers face-to-face. As with any kind of sales, rejection is definitely involved. We expect it and prepare our employees with the proper product knowledge, terminology, and systems so that they can clearly communicate with customers and be successful. We encourage anyone who has questions during the interview process or employment to reach out to management immediately. As one of the top-performing sales firms in the nation, we have a detailed and structured training program in place. All we ask is that our team members show up hungry to learn, ready to work hard, and willing to follow the systems and instructions that we have in place. The only time we hear feedback about the lack of training available is when someone hasn't been able to or willing to follow the steps mentioned above. Again, we thank you for sharing your thoughts and hope you are able to find a better fit in the future.

Hi Reviewer. Thanks for sharing your opinions. Our office is located in Columbus, not Worthington. We try to be as upfront as possible during the interview process about the work that we do and what the position entails. We understand that the work is challenging and not for everyone. If there was something that you didn't understand or that wasn't clear during your interview, we wish you would have asked about it, so we could have addressed it at that time. We definitely don't instruct our team members to annoy any customers in the retail setting. We are very careful about the way we represent our clients' brands. We've had great success in our training program so far, and the first step for ANY individual that we hire is to learn the sales process, how to deal with customers and to show that they can self-manage. It sounds like you didn't have a chance to learn much since you only gave it one day. We thank you for your time and feedback and hope you're able to find a better fit in the future.
