Great Work-Life Balance and Decent Pay
Pros
Company supported pursuing valuation credentials CVA and ASA Management has effective style in teaching new concepts giving a generous amount of time to acclimate to the new role without throwing new employees into the fire Occasional work from home days, however these are earned by competing with coworkers to motivate employees to take on more projects Good hours (9:00-5:00 with an hour for lunch usually unless it's busy) Wonderful team of professionals ready to cooperate Very few corporate meetings No traveling to meet clients Typical PTO Days: 5 vacation, 4 sick, 2 personal for the first year, but vacation days increase to 10 after the second year.
Cons
Pay is less and work is dull when business is slow Not much upward mobility after gaining credentials and becoming a senior analyst Benefits are lacking. No 401k and healthcare plans are more expensive than what you can get on the marketplace
