Pros

You'll get experience in sales, marketing, support, product management, business analyst, and maybe write code using agile methods. Job description is super flexible.

Cons

Same as pros with the addition of lack of training. Software is a house of cards and no one is quite sure where all the cards holding it up are. Learn as you go, get the wrong advice, break something, and know not to do that again. Everyone has to learn this way.

Pros

- A lot of PTO. - Good developers, before they leave at least.

Cons

- Low pay for loyal employees, new employees are paid much more than older ones. - No vision, leadership spends most of their time golfing. - Poor retention of good developers, no offer matching, nothing. - Highest paid employees provide almost no value.
