Thank you for your feedback, it is great to hear from a current employee working in Vizor! I agree it is a great mix of nationalities and I am delighted you feel we recognize and reward our staff - it is something I am passionate about and the very reason we rolled out the peer nomination scheme. Yes... Parking does continue to be a challenge. We do try to prioritize based on several factors such as distance from the office, car pool etc but it is hard when the number of spaces is limited. I am currently working with some ideas around a power app where we could share spaces more efficiently. watch this space! On the subject of tech, yes our application has years of development and features and it is difficult to maintain the balance of investment between features and technology given the schedule and budget challenges we face. Our work to build out our innovation strategy and recent work on APIs, machine learning POC and other regtech opportunities are starting to filter down to more teams so hopefully people are getting to work on exciting new projects. We have also invested in moving to Azure over the past 12 months and are rolling out services to our clients in this area, this is something we will hopefully see more benefit from both internally and in terms of service innovation for our clients as we get more experience. Thanks, Sarah Anderson, COO, Vizor

Don't stay too long

Pros

Good staff. Good place to start your career, give 1 year and get out. Good work placement for college students. Opportunity to return back for employment provided the company witches were not offended or involved in termination.

Cons

Lots lots and lots of internal politics. Promotion is based on favoritism. It's like a coven of witches , once they put a mark on an employee, only God can help you. No recognition for hard work. Lack of training. Some People are put in managerial positions based on years in company and not on capability nor experience of the position. Sham in performance reviews of staffs. Feedback is based on opinion of others and not on actual effort. Ineffective human resources (no one cares). Little or no promotions, titles are rather changed to deceive people. Stay too long and you become unemployable by other companies.

What I know for sure is that Vizor is full of good hardworking men and women across all departments. I am proud of the fact that we are an equal opportunity employer and there are more women than the industry average in IT - although it is still lower that we would like at less than 30%. People care about each other and support each other, we continue to listen with initiatives such as our suggestion box to hear what isn’t working so we can learn and grow. We promote regularly and it is always based on hard work and results, results have to matter not just effort. We are working on improving our training, this is something which department leads are working on in terms of both internal Vizor knowledge bases and online product training as well as external certifications such as Prince 2, agile training, and upcoming training such as BA Certifications. I think it is important to recognise when a company is a good fit for your goals, aspirations and overall skills. Not every company works for every individual. Sarah Anderson, COO, Vizor

Pros

Absolutely nothing. I can't see anything positive there.

Cons

Lot of internal politics. There are one or two lunatics in every team and they make the life of a new entrant miserable if you don't get on well with them.

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your time at Vizor. Of course I am biased but I have to disagree with your statement, feedback from colleagues is that the teamwork and leadership is what makes Vizor a great place to work !!
