Pros

- Colleagues are friendly, buzzing with lots of creative energy and people. I was incredibly inspired working at WGSN and got to know some incredibly cool folks - Remote work friendly - it is hybrid and according to your manager's discretion but I was allowed to work from home most of the time. Hours can be pretty flexible too and shifted according to appointments etc. - Salary is good - In Singapore, we have 20 days of annual leave which is definitely higher than the average. We are also encouraged to clear our leave, no pressure to put off leave etc. which I really appreciate - Work at WGSN was fulfilling - I got to travel a lot (mostly to trade shows) under the company and was allowed relative freedom when it came to writing and subjects I wanted to cover

Cons

- Limited opportunities for upward mobility (especially if you're not at the HQ) - Promotions are based more on your friendly relations with higher ups, essentially it's a social game - Lack of transparency when it comes to promotion and its requirements - RE: DEI - efforts at DEI was token at best...words said didn't necessarily translate to action. As I was based in APAC, the APAC team was encouraged (publicly) to cover more content and representation within the region, but privately (behind the scenes) we were discouraged from taking on APAC-exclusive projects, so it felt very contradictory. Our opinion on the APAC market were at times not trusted as well over the employees at the UK headquarters
