Pros
- Friendly colleagues to work with. (Though many will have left already by now) - Pay is on time. - Snacks are provided.
Cons
- Management's actions does not reflect its core values as promoted. - No senior colleagues. Many leave after a few months to a year. - A large influx of fresh grads / interns. - You are expected to work more than your job scope.
Pros
- Salary paid on time. - Nice studio space. - Good place for simple life - Work life balance is ok if you can finish your work on time
Cons
Work culture and achievements are built on lies: - Leadership is focused too much on "core values" and positive environment but actions and decisions says otherwise. A lot of meetings talking about work culture and management theories. - Leadership tends to overestimate teams capabilities and make unreasonable promises to clients. - Leadership and management expect ground staff to make decisions for leadership, but when they do = too aggressive - Leadership ask for constructive feedback but when given = too aggressive - You are expected to be willing to do anything outside job scope from junior role to leadership role to nothing to do with your role. "Up to you" - If you don't agree to management suggestions or refuse to do work outside of job scope = negative vibe and not fit for company "People are not assets. Only the right people are assets" - Leadership only admits to wrongdoing after majority speaks up but put blame on others eg: "Sorry that your feelings were hurt" - If it's a one on one confrontation, leadership will avoid the question and keep talking about core values and act like victim until confronter gives up. - Clear favouritism/segregation between "core team" and other ground staff even with constant preaching about transparency and visibility. Protecting male employee over female employee eg: " Yin energy very strong" "Female employee should be careful with how they dress" - Management miss announcements to certain employees and inconsistent information is given when filling in. - Company policy is prone to constant random changes to suit management needs with excuse " Company is still young and learning". Company is 7 years old. - Revealing company's financial status "If you don't trust me you can start looking for a new job" - Sending out a legal warning letter to all employees "To be fair" except "probationary freshgrads" for "gossiping" in employees private free time. Not everyone received it. After confrontation, warning is changed to memo but signature is still required. Career Opportunity is scarce: - Learn nothing as there is no proper leadership eg: no senior, no director ; no plans to hire one - CEO is the director but is "too busy" and does not do proper job of directing. - No proper management. Project coordinators are fresh grads or no management background and expected to be HR. - If you don't "click" with leadership regardless of skill, you are not fit for company - Some days there are no tasks for some departments. Company benefits: - 200 and below per category as leadership says "Financially unstable" "Still learning"
Pros
Great Colleagues to work with, everyone is helpful with each other among the dev team. There's free water, tea, coffee sometime will have some snacks (but it will gone be quick). Some project are very interesting.
Cons
The whole team most of them are fresh, but the task is too ambitious for the team which leads too much unsolved problems. Team are suggesting way to solve but management seems not taking as advice. There's no clear direction of doing works.
