      Supportive management, but very little to no guidance; you have to find your own way

      Pros

      Management is always supportive in endeavors, especially efforts to win new business and build new innovations; Lots of freedom to pursue things related to, but not directly in, job scope.

      Cons

      The flipside of a management that offers freedom, is also a management that offers little guidance. In everything, you need to find your own way to survive. If you are an ops person, you will need to use your BD muscle; If you are a BD person, you have to navigate internal power structures to get things done. On the whole, a BD person would do better than an Ops person onsite, because everything is outsourced to India. Opportunities in Ops are limited unless you build and sell your own projects, and that's a difficult route indeed.

      Flexible work arrangements, high autonomy, forgiving when you make mistakes

      Cons

      Leaders are not leading. No guidance and mentorship. No clear career paths, no opportunities for professional development. Low increments and bonuses - not competitive with market.
