Pros

I’ve had a great experience working here. The team is incredibly helpful and understanding, and there’s a genuine focus on supporting employees both professionally and personally. Management encourages you to grow, push yourself, and become better, while still making sure you feel supported along the way. They provide all the tools and resources you need to succeed, which makes a huge difference in your day-to-day work and long-term development. On top of that, the benefits are excellent and show that the company truly values its employees. Overall, it’s a positive, motivating environment where you feel appreciated and empowered to do your best.

Cons

The pace can be pretty fast at times, especially when things get busy, so it can take a little time to adjust. There are also high expectations, but they come with the support and tools you need to succeed. As the company continues to grow, processes can occasionally change or evolve, which just requires some flexibility.

Pros

The only useful thing this agency offers is that they will get you contracted quickly with almost every state and major carrier. If you’re trying to get licensed and appointed fast, this is the place. After that, get out.

Cons

Now for the reality: the leads are extremely misleading. Almost every inbound call starts with a beneficiary insisting the “ad” told them they could get $3,000 for food immediately, with no mention of insurance. Agents are left cleaning up the confusion from deliberately deceptive marketing. Supervisors openly push you to enroll people into plans that are not in the client’s best interest. I was directly instructed to do blatantly non-compliant things such as telling beneficiaries their doctors were in-network when they clearly were not, or pressuring a woman to drop $100/month in food benefits and label it as “more flexible” just to close a sale. The script here is pages and pages long (for context, most agencies use a 2-3 page script) because they get flagged by CMS frequently. Every morning management lectures agents about compliance, then immediately encourages tactics that put your license at risk. They only care about conversion numbers. Not clients, not long-term retention, and certainly not ethics. If you have a conscience or actually believe in helping seniors, you will go home feeling awful every day. If you don’t mind misleading vulnerable people and risking your license under the guidance of supervisors desperate to hit quota, then you’ll fit right in. If you’re only here to get contracted and move on, the agency can serve that purpose. But if you want a career in Medicare, or you care about clients, or you value your license, avoid this place.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your time with us felt frustrating and misaligned with your values. We want to be very clear: misleading beneficiaries, enrolling members into plans that are not in their best interest, or misrepresenting provider networks is not acceptable and is not consistent with our policies or our expectations of leadership or agents. Compliance, ethical sales practices, and client-first decision making are core requirements in our organization. We recognize that Medicare marketing and compliance standards are complex and that high-volume environments can create pressure. That said, no performance goal ever outweighs doing what is right for the client or protecting an agent’s license. When concerns are raised about practices that may conflict with these standards, we take them seriously and investigate them thoroughly. We are continuously reviewing our marketing, training, scripting, and leadership practices to ensure clarity, transparency, and alignment with CMS requirements. Feedback like this — while difficult to read — helps identify areas where we must improve, particularly around communication, supervision, and support. We appreciate your acknowledgment that our onboarding and contracting process can be efficient, and we regret that the broader experience did not meet your expectations. We wish you the best in your continued career in Medicare and encourage any former or current team member with concerns to raise them through our internal compliance channels so they can be addressed appropriately.

Pros

While I was here it was phenomenal. Great opportunity. They spend 1 on 1 time with you to help and train you. The people treated me with great respect and I would refer other people to work for HIA as well. Love everyone there.

Cons

Not many to think of but some of the days can get long.
