Pros
I am going into my second AEP(busy peak season) and I have never been more excited and ready for work. I was hired 01/2024, was trained thoroughly from day one and still receive training even after being a “seasoned veteran “. I went into this job with extensive sales and sales management experience but never insurance industry. I have always been very open to learning anything new whenever I get a chance to keep growing. The Insurance industry in general is ever evolving and you have to be open to change at the drop of a dime. You also have to being able to recognize that everybody has room to grow and become better at their craft. This has been the biggest blessing and made me prepared for this year. Last year peak season I did decent, although I was going through personal issues that was affecting my concentration, but after being honest with myself, I was not giving my full effort like I should’ve, and now I’m ready. Not only do I have no outside distractions, but the amount that I’ve learned since then is remarkable. I’ve worked with different agents in leadership roles that I was able to see excel from being side-by-side next to me on the phone into roles where they are now growing agents, new and old. Those agents are always the most willing and happy to see someone who has been there for quite some time still go out of their way to ask for help to get better and better every day. there’s not one single person in our office that I feel I cannot reach out to to better myself. The upper management level, one of the two owners of the company, is in our office and he has been the biggest blessing I’ve had in a very long time as an employee. This guy goes out of his way every time and every way he can for all of us. He has a hands-on approach with every single agent and it shows. I’ve never felt unappreciated or felt like I couldn’t go to him when I needed assistance on anything. That type of management style is what makes employees feel valued and love their job.
