Pros

If you’re good at carrying balls, this is the place for you!

Cons

Management is extremely terrible and unprofessional. You have directors that are bipolar or complete cowards who will never care about their team. Only if it benefits them then suddenly you get recognition. These directors are so toxic that they pit their team members against each other. What kind of company allows such kind of leadership? Ultimately it’ll reflect badly on the kind of GM/CEOs/chairman that the company have isn’t it? How embarrassing to be in such a toxic company that instead of working together, they make you fight against one another. It’s surprising how such a company can thrive to be a multi billion dollar company. Someone should really audit the hell out of them. Who knows they engage in illegal stuff. The worse part of this multi billion dollar company is that they are absolutely not willing to change the computers. Mind you, the computers doesn’t even have PDF/Microsoft office and we are living in the twentieth century. On top of that, when one of the staff request for the simplest necessity, a pen, the management replied this staff saying that they can only request for items when they make a sale. Wow right? That’s still not all. The management had a meeting and one of the B.O.D suggested that since other offices in other locations has a pool table, maybe they should have a pool table in this particular office too. Doesn’t that leave you speechless? Sure that there isn’t one perfect organization on earth, but this company is too much. No medical benefits, low salary, no quality events. It’s one of the most hypocritical companies ever. They claim to produce strategic events but it’s not even the case. They re-do events over and over again. With similar topics and overly high priced cost to attend the event. How is that strategic? The management constantly asks staff for their feedback on how to improve things, but once you give a feedback that is not what they want to hear, you’re immediately blacklisted. This will hinder you from getting a promotion. The promotion that is given is pathetic. It’s only a $500 increment for managerial level. An assistant manager get paid lesser than an associate in a different company. If that’s not embarrassing then shame shouldn’t exist in the world at all.

Pros

Offered really good training, and hiring process was quick. People were fairly nice.

Cons

Major Micro-management involved. We were taught to lie on the phone. We had to advertise ourselves as 'Global Financial Markets Intelligence' or GFMI - because if banks or financial institutions hear 'Marcus Evans' they hang up on you. Very strict hours - worse than in school! You had to come in at a certain time, and go for lunch at a certain time, and if you were even ONE MINUTE over, you had to sign your name in a book (?!?!) - I didn't stay long enough to know if this is true, but I heard that multiple strikes will affect your bonus and salary increases at the end of year. Oh - salary was crap too, WAY below market level.
