Pros

• Flexible work hours if needed • Friendly co-workers • Office dog • Group/office events and activities

Cons

• CEO is very condescending and rude, and has made several questionable and problematic comments. Continued to make such comments, even after it being brought up to them directly as an issue. • Very low pay and often overworked • Work would be piled onto one person but CEO was almost never in office for assistance or help • No lunch breaks, no overtime, no benefits, no assistance or guidance when needed

Pros

I worked here for a couple of years as a Project Manager. - The management and senior staff can offer a lot of working knowledge to younger workers. I learned a lot at wintransation. - Employees manage their own projects and set their own timelines to followup. - Quiet office with little distraction. - Working in the translation industry offers exposure to many different cultures of the world. The work was very interesting to me. - Good location with access to restaurants and beautiful scenery for lunchtime walks. - Management showed appreciation by occasionally taking staff to lunch.

Cons

- When starting off new it was difficult to learn how things 'should' be done. - Due to the nature of the business, checking on projects during off hours is needed. This is because translators live around the world in different time zones. - At times things are VERY busy and it requires a certain type of person to be able to handle the stress and keep up with the demand. It is not for everyone. - Work culture needs improvement. At times management and other staff seem impersonal.

Pros

- Very flexible hours - Lots of freedom to decide what and how to do something, provided it's beneficiary to the company - Great benefit for micro business of this size - Opportunities to learn and actually participate in every aspect of business operation

Cons

- Off-hour work is required sometimes - Result-oriented culture may not align with each individual employee sometimes - Direct communication style from management takes time to get used to but in the end is more upfront
