We recently celebrated the best of technology at GIC’s Tech Day. Over 700 GIC employees and 50 partners from Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Ministry of Finance (Singapore) came together to explore our latest technology ranging from AI and machine learning to data, telemetry, and cyber security. GIC’s Portfolio Execution Group has actively cultivated one of the strongest gender balances in the industry. Members of the Portfolio Execution Group from around the world recently gathered in our Singapore office for a panel discussion focused on unconscious bias, inclusive workplace, and gender roles in our ongoing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion journey. Jessica, Head Trader for Fixed Income, shared the significance of knowing when to lean in and out, as well as understanding one's personal priorities beyond work. Meanwhile, Samit, Head of the Balance Sheet Management Group, expressed his support for men taking parental leave from work without stigma or fear. “Diversity reflects the strengths we have. This goes beyond gender, to our own mental models, and how we communicate and collaborate. To harness diverse strengths, it takes inclusiveness. It is about keeping an open mind and aligning on the best decisions, and taking the best actions,” GIC Chief People Officer Deanna emphasised. Work at the Point of Impact
