I applied through university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Capital One in Mar 2011
Interview
Capital One works hard to make applicants feel comfortable and bring out the *best* during the recruitment process. The info session explains how the interviews will be conducted and helps applicants prepare for case interviews.
The first round interviews consisted of about 45 minutes 1 on 1 with an analyst, 15 minutes to discuss experiences and 30 minutes for a simple case. The next day, HR emails with information about an online assessment which about 1 hour for questionnaires and 1 hour for verbal/math reasoning sections.
The second round interviews are conducted at the CapOne offices with analysts and managers, who are generally really friendly and engaging. There are 3 interviews lasting 45min-1hr each, one experience interview and two case interviews. For applicants who are either extremely qualified or just hovering on the border, a final interview is conducted by a senior member who respectively tries to convince the applicant to accept an offer or conducts one more personality+case interview
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is the approximate market size for contact lenses?
The interviewer was friendly he asked me Quantitative questions on a streaming platform, too much math involved. I did not reach the answer though the interviewer tried to help so got the rejection.

I thought I did really well, but they emailed me back in a few hours, rejecting me. This was for the online test before the power day, and they didn't even give me a score.
Phone interview and then a follow up email regarding mini case interview. Then there would be final interview process. Recruiter reached out via Linkedin to schedule phone interview and scheduled a mini case interview
