I applied online. I interviewed at Capital One (Long Island-Queens) in Jan 2026
Interview
virtual assessment -> initial round -> super day
got rejection 1 hr after super day
process was straightforward and moved quickly. I had done the virtual assessment in the past so I didn't need to do it again this year.

Question 1
Intros + behavioral (why Capital One, etc.)
Case centered on the virtual card team's number-generating feature
Value-add question — he wanted "data security" as the answer
Pitch 2-3 new strategies — I proposed a feature for minors/dependents
Backend/frontend + edge cases for a transaction limit feature
Mock-up review, KPI questions, reading a data chart
Closed with: how do you get another PM on board with your project
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One in Nov 2025
Interview
Completed digital assessment, got invited to first round mini-case. Didn't move on to final round power day. Overall speedy process and they let me know quickly. Not sure how competitive the program typically is but seems pretty competitive.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Sept 2025
Interview
First round interview followed by 4.5 hr long powerday of 4 interviews over zoom. Interviews consisted of product cases, product design/discovery scenarios, and product skills questions. Product cases allowed a calculator and product skills required talking about a past project.
